WEDDINGS
Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding!
Are you looking for an experienced and professional marriage celebrant?
Such a special day in your life requires someone who will embrace your love story and help you to create a ceremony designed just for you. My sincerity, warm personality and reliability will be shown to you at all times.
To make everything easier for you, a selection of wedding ceremonies, vows, ring vows, poetry and readings will be made available to you to help you on your way. All the material can be used as is, or of course, you may like to cut and paste or write your own personal vows to each other.
You may also like to think about including family or close friends in your ceremony. There are many different ways and I am more than happy to discuss these with you. Australia is a vast country with many different cultural traditions – perhaps you may like to include a particular tradition in your ceremony.
Other small ceremonies like rose, sand, candle or sharing of wine can also be included. The main thing is that you have the chance to choose every aspect of your marriage ceremony, so that it is unique for you and your relationship.
What's included in your total Wedding Celebrant Package?
- Meetings at your home or mine or at a venue convenient to both.
- Telephone and email consultations.
- Brief outline of a wedding ceremony that is easy to follow with samples of ceremonies and many choices of vows, readings and ring vows.
- PA system with CD Player & iPod input facility (AC/DC) to ensure that all your guests hear your ceremony clearly.
- Covered table and 2 chairs for signing of Marriage Certificate.
- All legal documentation, including registration of your marriage.
- Newly married name change service.
- DVD Relationship information for couples and families.
All my couples receive a beautifully presented copy of the wedding ceremony in the form of a small memento booklet. As the day seems to pass so quickly, it is nice to sit quietly some time after the wedding day is over and read the beautiful words that were said.
INTERNATIONAL COUPLES WISHING TO BE MARRIED IN AUSTRALIA

To decide to get married away from home, family and friends can be very emotional and exciting. If you have a keen desire to be married here then, I would be thrilled to help you fulfill that dream. The process is quite simple:
Step 1 Send me an email (suepaa@bigpond.com) to check that your chosen date is available.
Step 2 In Australia, instead of a Marriage Licence we have a Notice of Intended Marriage Form. Before you may marry, the law requires that you sign and lodge, with your chosen Marriage Celebrant, the Notice of Intended Marriage form one calendar month and one day prior to the wedding (download NIM).
Step 3 Complete Questions 1 - 18 for bridegroom and bride.
Step 4 Have your signature witnessed. Non-citizens and non-residents of Australia are allowed to be married in Australia provided the required Notice of Intended Marriage is lodged with me within the required time frame. It must be signed and witnessed by an Australian Diplomatic Officer, Australian Consular Officer, employee of the Commonwealth or Australian Trade Office or a Notary Public.
Step 5 Scan and email (suepaa@bigpond.com) the “Notice of Intended Marriage” form to me
Step 6 Send the original “Notice of Intended Marriage” form to me by registered post.
Step 7 Arrange a time to discuss via telephone, skype or email your ceremony ideas and special requirements so that I can prepare the ceremony and email it to you for approval.
Step 8 Upon your arrival in Australia and prior to your wedding day, we will meet so that I can sight the originals of either your Birth Certificates or Passports. If you have been married before, I will need to sight your final Divorce papers or Death Certificate if you are widowed. Please note – original documents must be sighted by me before your marriage can take place so remember to bring them with you when you leave for Australia.
Step 9 Have fun and enjoy your special day.
ARE YOU LOOKING FOR A SIMPLE AND AFFORDABLE WEDDING CEREMONY?
I can design and conduct a ceremony, similar to the Registry Office, presented within a radius of 25kms of my home on the west side of Lake Macquarie for a small gathering of up to 15 people.
TIPS
- When printing invitations, state the time of the ceremony as 15 minutes before the bride is scheduled to arrive
(this helps to ensure that all the guests arrive on time)
- If there is a possibility of rain, don't forget a LARGE umbrella
- A little Vaseline or soap smeared inside the wedding ring will help it slip on your finger
- If your ceremony is in a public place make sure you have booked with the local authority
- For outdoor ceremonies, consider the location of toilets and shade
- If you have older guests, you may need to provide seating
- Make sure you have considered an alternative venue in case of wet weather
- Take things slowly, you will want to remember as much as possible
- Drink lots of water
- Relax and have fun
Please contact me today for an appointment to discuss your wedding ceremony.
